Other than having lousy laptops, Toshiba is very giam siap a.k.a. Stingy.

Why? to the first point...just ask those with toshiba laptops, dunno why NUS still keep letting them sell their products during matriculation.

to the second point..talk already i du lan!

pay money go take part in their 4 a side tournament at ngee ann city. they have a roadshow too. everything is tented up nicely and sheltered except the area of the court WHICH has an area MUCH SMALLER than the rest of the roadshow combined! then to save the little cost involved compared to the overall thing they sacrificed the tounament. and allowed rain to degrade the whole competition to a nothing but boring affair. Even when the rain had stopped, they had absolutely no equipment of practical use to dry the court. And in the end everyone had to take penalties right from the preliminaries to decide everything. BOLIAO!!

and they made everyone wait half a day for it. promises of "we will continue with matches once the rain stops" and "we will be able to dry it up"..bullshit...talk cock only.

wait so many hrs in the end lidat...might as well earlier let us take and can go home..my goodness..lousy contingency planning if not no contingency at all. lose if lose after playing real matches dun mind..but to end things this way is really lousy man..

Results

yesterday was D-Day...one sem of hard work! what will be the verdict.....a peep into the history of my results checking...summarising...whenever i check it myself..it was either normal or lousy grades..the only time i asked my honey to check for me..it was my best sem.ok..so i decided that i should engage my honey's help this time. so i did..gave her my password and all..and i held my breadth as i waited for her reply....she said CONGRATULATIONS....i was RELIEVED man..haha.....not bad really..A- B+ B+ B...my best sem! haha..I can't say i'm delighted with the results though..as i somehow think i should have gotton better results and especially my gang all suddenly on form and did better than mi!! haha.. but i'm quite satisfied as i've achieved what i needed...which is to pull my cap up to 3.5(2nd Lower). But thinking about it..thats probably what I've deserved looking back at my own effort..i must say i did put effort into my studies last sem but defintely i could have put more but there are alot of times where i simply slacked and got distracted(PS2, animes, drinkings, tvs..etc...) when i shouldnt have.looking at a fren whom have spent almost all of her time studying thruout the sem and working ever so hard in her work and all....yet still couldn't get the results she hope to have achieved. I dunno what was the results but judging from the disappointment shown, it defintely was bad news, at least to her.Then i went thinking again...is there such thing as working too hard and much? probably yes looking at all the examples of such cases that i've encountered in my entire sch life. Think that the saying of leading a balanced lifestyle is the best is true. Gotta learn how to enjoy life more. But with that you gotta learn to have more discipline as well so as not to be carried away.i still have one sem to prove to myself that i can be more disciplined and hardworking and defintely can achieve stunning results(in the +ve sense). why one sem??to my frens who havent talked to mi for ages...cos i'm going for IA(industrial attachment) next sem for half a year at Exxon Mobil( YES LAH!! $1200 a month!!). So i'm left with only my last sem for studying...have to clear 5 modules. siong! while other engine fac pple will prob only have at most 3 modules left..and chip this kind will keep emphasizing on it thruout the whole sem..or maybe even frm next sem onwards....hahaha

2 movies within 24 hrs

Watched Da Vinci Code with my honey on Wed night and X-Men III on thurs afternoon with her too.

Both were great shows really. If someone comes and tell you DVC was boring or XM3 was bullshit...ask them to go and f**k themselves.

DVC is pretty chim and if you find urself lost don't be surprised cos you are definitely not the only one. Perhaps it really helps to have read the book. But the best bet is to have someone who knows abt those stuffs to watch with you so you'll be enlightened along the way as it seems that these people derive great satisfaction by being able to explain all those chiiiiiiimmmm stuffs to you. hahah. so its a win win situation lah..you get to understand and ur fren gets to be happy.

XM3's fighting and effects are superb! although jean gray seems to be less pretty in this instalment of the XM series. The story's pretty interesting too.

Both are should watch and must watch movie in my opinion..catch it while its still hot..it does makes a difference to watch movies in a packed cinema and an empty one.

Morning Soccer

Played soccer this morning with some VS friends. Long time no see, quite missed them...haha...glad no one really changed. Had a fun time except a little incident where I sorta twisted my injured knee again..thought at that moment...THATS IT!! gonna be out for another few weeks..thankfully the pain subsided after a while after i sat out. And in fact I was able to go back in and play a bit after that, and luckily all was fine..just that I gotta becareful with how I run and turn, can't give my knee too much pressure..gonna go gym to strengthen my leg sometime this week. Hopefully I'll be ok for the weekend's Toshiba 4 aside tournament.

Speaking about that, the lousy organisers are really inefficient. I faxed in my application on Sat morning and call them in the afternoon to confirm. Then they just say okok..will send me an email..blah blah blah..but nothing. They didnt even bother to ask me my name to make sure they get the application. Then still say go check..CHECK WHAT F**K when they dunno what to look for!! Either they're stupid or really irresponsible. Pity Toshiba for engaging them to organise the activity.

Yongfeng came to my place with his girlfriend, Melissa(my honey's name too!), in the afternoon. Asked me to check his desktop to see what can be upgraded cause apparently he can't play some games on it(and he's so sure about it even though he didnt actually try to install and play on it cause he can't play it on his laptop which was supposedly better[even though it has been in and out of the service centres..haha] and assumed that his desktop won't be able to make it too!..haha..interesting logic). Anyways, being his brother and best friend, I set it up in my room and gave it a quick diagnosis and recommended him to upgrade some parts.

slacked til now..watched cable and some animes that i've downloaded. waiting for yf to come pick me up to go my honey's place since he sending his gf back to hall anyway. Nonetheless, eternal gratefulness to him for giving me rides on numerous occasions! haha..next time when i have car i'll repay u! hehz..

Getting fat and unfit..especially since i've injured my ankle and knee in april..and my knee is not 100% yet..tried to chase a bus and when i tried to sprint..kena! tmd..gotta becareful especially with my ippt looming round the corner..dunno if injured a valid reason to postpone..my window closing soon! Not gonna do anything legwork..thats y swimming and gyming..doing strengthening for my leg also..hope it helps..

Hong Kong Day2 Night 2

Hong Kong Disneyland was our first destination. Took the MTR(no i didnt make a mistake..its not MRT) from Tsim Sha Tsui to Sunny Bay station which was touted to be the most futuristic station but there nothing special AT ALL!! maybe thats what the future is about..then from there changed to the Disneyland Resort line which takes us directly to the Magical place.



The train is very cute and special lor..mickey mouse train..ahaha. The windows are Mickey shaped as well the the handles(i forgot the name..the thing you hold on to when you standing in the train). Then for small statues of disney character all in the trains also. Good idea lah the train. When you reach they will say "Have a Magical Day".

Then we reached the place and went on the buy the tickets..HK$295..about S$60. Not cheap. But fortunately, it was all worth it! Went in and pleasant disney music greeted us! the atmosphere was great. Took many pictures.

First we saw a marching band parading and playing disney music...very nice..they got move in formation and stop at some points to do some change of formation and play some special tunes before moving on. Den we met tigger! haha..queued to get our pictures taken with him!


Then we went to TomorrowLand and AdventurLand. TomorrowLand is mainly rides and all. But as we wanna catch a show in AdventureLand, we went ahead to there first. It was the home to Tarzan..rivers, forests, treehouse, and all..got tribal people dancing also. We queued early for the show. Right choice! FULL HOUSE and its just a weekday. Managed to get good seats..3rd row in front. Its a Lion King show. It was damn impressive lah! The actors dancers play stunts and props were World Class. Simba and his girlfriend, scar and many other characters. There was also giant props of cliffs, lion, giraffe etc..the show was very well done man. Impressed to the Max.

After the show we went on to catch another show in FantasyLand which houses all the Mickey and Pooh thingys. Anyways..we went to queue for the show and we thought we were early..but when we got to the door..WOW..i think about 1 million people there already. But nonetheless..we manage to go in but not so good seat..first row by the side..couldnt see the stage very clearly. By the way the show was called "the Golden Mickeys"..trying to imitate golden globes lidat..something like an award show..in this case..got a host..which pratically shows up in every other scenes thats gonna be put up later in the show. Then at first they show like stars walking into the place on big screens..you know..the atmosphere of big award presentation shows. Then Mickey and goofy and donald etc..all walked in.

Then they talked and then finally the introduced the nominees for the 1st award..which is i think the most brave or best hero thingy...then the nominees(the hunchback of notre something, mulan, tarzan,incredibles, etc) came out and each perform a scene relating to their respective cartoons. Very interesting and nice.

Tarzan is damn macho and came swinging in. Mulan fight some soldiers. Then the next award is most romantic i think..got mermaid, cinderella etc. Den still got toy story oso...Toy Story
many cartoons lah..in the end you don't really care wat award thing or wat nominees thingy..you just enjoy the wonderful play the put up..very impressive also..very quick change of backdrop..frm castle to forest to sea etc...In the end everyone came in and dance a finale with mickey and co. very very nice.

Then we went out and began hunting for all the characters to take pictures with! I mangaed to get Minnie, mickey and pooh. The queues were really long and the character goes to toilet from time to time..haha..they are very cute!! They are really professional minnie and mickeys man..very very cute one..you'll fall in love with them(i cant believe i'm saying this man..i'm not really fond of them at first one k)

Then we went to this Starliner Diner to eat which was in TomorrowLand. Bought burgers and fries..not very nice though..and ex! (stop saying wat "you should expect this at this kind of place" kind of things..so wat..its still ex k!) Then we went to the souvenir shops to get some stuffs..bought a t shirt and some stuffs..my gf too. Then at this time..a parade passed by..a big scale one k..all the characters got a float and was on it and paraded around the whole place..very interesting to watch.

In the end we didnt manage to do a lot of things....all the rides especially! All of them looks very interesting man..too bad! and got night show oso! fireworks and all i think.. argghh..wanna try all those if got another chance.

ok..thats all for our day..we went back to Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok to try to find those famous streets that you always see on TV. haha..


But before that, we went to the Avenue of stars. Xing Guang Da Dao..built to commemorate HK's achievements in the movie industry. Its really nothing one lor! Got a show called Symphoney of Lights. Where looking across the bay..you can see many tall building..like their CBD lidat..then the builing got lasers lights..and light all over the building lah...then there will be music and the lights are suppose to dance to the music..but f**k lah...its really messy and the music sucks..lousy!


Then we managed to find Temple street, Ladies Street, Sportswear st. walk a bit only cause too late( why? cause took too much time to find the places..not lost k! just took a longer time)..most starting to close already. haha

We were damn shag and went back to our 'nice' and 'cosy' room to rest. stopped by 7-11 to get some drinks and snacks.

Hong Kong Day 1 Night 1

Back from Hong Kong on monday afternoon. Went there on last thurs til the following monday.
Went to many many places...all across the land....haha
When we landed, which was around evening, my honey and I followed directions to arrive at our accomodation which was booked in advance thru' internet. Its called Vincent guesthouse...at the heart of the city..Tsim Sha Tsui.

Near everywhere , very accessible to many places. But knn..the room is like f**k lidat! 1st when you reach the building, carts of garbage is waiting for you at the lift landing, which house shitty lifts..like as if the ropes are gonna break and the lift is gonna crash any moment..tmd..

Then we reach 16th floor after bashing thru the garbage and shitty lifts...disgusting corridors and notices to threaten those who havent paid rent for the past i dunno how many f**king mths are all over! My senses are kept 100% alert as we walk towards our destination unit, in case some mugger appear. Finally we reached SAFELY and was greeted by Green Apple..no not the fruit..a lady (sounds chinese)..who was waiting for us(apparently we were the last to check in that night). And yah..back to the name..she gave us a name card stating her name as "Green Apple".

She led us to our room and TA DA!! When the door was opened..a corridor of the SIZE of the door followed which led to a bed! along the way was a LITTLE bathroom. Thats all! Lucky got air con! Thats what you get for using all of your might to find the cheapest accomodation. USD113 for4 nights...Land in Hong Kong was known to be very expensive..INDEED!

ok..den we went out hunting for dinner. Not knowing anyplace yet or anything about the place..we just walked..and came acrossa shop..we went in and looked at the menu..looks ok..so we ordered..ham noodles and beef noodles...guess wat..its really MAGGI NOODLES and a FEW pieces of ham..same for the beef noodles...WAH LAN EH! some more not cheap lor. BAD FIRST NIGHT.






They really know how to use pictures for their boards and the English is poor..and you thought Singapore's English is lousy..haha

Home Sweet Home..not without a price

got back home on sunday..after an arduous process!

Worked on sat night..came back in the morning to hall after having some prata at the back. Slept at 8+ and got woken up by Yongfeng, he has come to help me moved my stuffs back home, cause he got a lorry. haha..he thought he could use me to help him move his stuffs at NTU, which we were going to after moving my stuffs, but never did he expect my things to fill up 3/4 of his lorry space! hahaha...luckily he didn't have much things left in his hall.

My things were really heavy man! hah..many bags and boxes. We were quiet efficient though..managed to move everything up the lorry in less than 45mins.

Off we went to NTU..hall..erm...forgot! haha..9 or 10 lah..i think 10. Bought duck rice en route for mi, him, his gf and a fren. We had the duck rice in the reading room of his hall. Apparently the NTUians haven't finished their exams too..just like tong! haha. YongFeng and me were I guess the lucky few to finish exams early(not that its really a good thing if results sucks).

Then we went over to Zhaomin's room(deja vu with this name? hah..its the name of the chiobu in tian long ba bu i think..the girl that zhang wuji like). But in this case..he's a guy(all those who were hoping i would post a pic to see if he's a chiobu..go to hell!)..haha...

ok..back to the story..we played winning eleven9 for a couple of hours. NUS vs NTU..hahah..close fight in most of the matches..we will battle again! now with winning eleven 10! gonna get it soon..

Then we proceed to my friend's room to carry his stuffs.
!@#$%^&*(*()(*&&*^%^%%$#$#$@......we have to climb a hellava lot of freaking stairs to his room and back to the carpark!! damn..and being stronger.. i always ended up carrying the heaviest stuffs! ok..nmind..haha..then we loaded everything up and set off.

Just after we hit the expressway..rain starting falling..quite light at first but started to get heavier. In the end we decided to stop under a flyover by the side. Waited for ages before the rain stopped! sianz..we then chatted in the lorry while waiting for the rain to stop. Talked about everything..studies, jobs, friends..lotsa catching up to do. he's my best mate and brother~

think after more than an hour..the rain got much lighter and we decided to move..we were like still deliberating whether to set off...the rain got haevy again..HENG AH!! the moment of hesitation was vital according to him. haha..

Then when the rain got lighter the 2nd time round..we set off immediately! this time..no repeat of the previous experience. haa..then we went to his place then my place...

was damn tired and sweaty after everything..all this at the expense of my sleep and injured knee! and guess what.i had to start work in a couple of hrs time! was like a zombie thru'out the whole night!

Then I had work again on mon..then tues and tonight too!

still got lotsa things to unpack and arrange..my room is getting relatively smaller as i unpack!

don't think i did well again..the funny thing is..for the past 2 sems..although i know i didnt do well after my papers..but i don't seems to care that much already..really don't know why..although i keep telling myself to work hard to pull up to 3.5.

had duck rice at the famous stall along south buona vista road with terence chip n 2 frens...its actually my first time eating there..not bad only lah..quite expensive also.

Last paper on friday. Not an easy module again..then again..up to yr 3 and 4..i dun think there will be anymore easy modules already..not like last time..general bio etc..

feeling a little bored..always lidat after a paper..shall watch some anime..den i see whether i should take a nap..pretty warm(super understatement) in my room...hard to slp..u will just keep sweating even if you're doing nothing. Gonna watch Villareal vs Arsenal later tonight. Hope to cover some of my CN4217 today. Its gonna be a whopping 90% for me cause I did not take the midterm..had MC..

Cant wait for the exams to end..actually nothing to look forward to lah..except the Hong Kong trip with my honey!

been quite a while since i've posted..cant really remember anything interesting i did..was in the lib since mon til thurs..mornin til evenin..been watching the 9pm ch 8 show..damn..forgot to watch today!! been studying..had a couple of winning eleven 9 with chip..tong not ard..so couldnt play with him..he already starting to revert back to home life already..no more interested in hall liao..haha..1 less bro to hang ard with at nite already..

really feeling like running swimming and gyming but all cannot!! damn knee injury..doc say its a strained tendon..will take another wk..hopefully! i really wanna get rid of all my fats!! its disgusting!! argghh.....pls dun come to B4 pple..cos i dun wear top usually and i dun want any outsiders to see mi in this horrible state! at least warn mi b4 you come!

raring to play soccer too..but no chance..exams..no one playing court..hopefully after exams got more chance..anyone's team need people can call mi up k..dun mind playing..

really broke now too..havent been working..and i've already commited to a Kong Kong trip with my honey on the 11th May til the 15th. Will work everyday after exams to earn that money..and also the progress package! should be enough..intend to quit my devils bar job already..after next next wk...cannot afford to let my fyp be affected by it..and i'm really tired of it too..it really ruined my sense of time..mornin and nite..made mi spend very little time on my family, frens and sch work..and most imptly..my gf! really hope to make up everything after i quit this job...going on IA next sem(hopefully gets what i want)..so will have more or less a bit of income..just hope i can last thru my june..have to pay hall fee oso..think wil loan from my mum first..

really looking forward to the trip to HK with my gf..havent been to anywhere further than msia with her..haha..we can go eat, chiong, shop, play together..so fun! i will save save save from now on for it!!

After 1 week...

I'm finally posting again...

as mentioned before i went missing, i was busy with projects and all...now i'm just left with 2 presentations on thursday..gonna rehearse one today and 1 on wed...

planned to really start studying from sat onwards but in the end..pretty much slept thru the whole weekend as well as monday..sianz..but ok lah..i feel that i'm really rested and can go all out thru the week..but gotta rush now..behind by 2 days..

stopped my fyp and my work already..now just gonna focus on nothing but exams! wish mi luck guys..

but time to time..cant help but think abt post exams plans..haha..but then..don't think can really enjoy much lah...FYP til end of june..and prob won't go anywhere during june and july cos wanna watch world cup..

prob having a short getaway in May..with whoever's interested..

last fri handed up the term paper..then went for lab marathon again..
just handed in a homework..

next thurs got 2 presentations..
