Not a part time or temporary job....

a real job!! knn..dunno my resume sucks or what...nobody is calling me up man...i applied for quite a few companies already

whole world is applying for jobs..hopefully i'll get one soon...

maybe i should try the career fair at suntec frm tml onwards...then again i still got a lot of work to do..no time no time!!

Extremely busy

havent slept much past week...term papers and presentations and fyp and design project....
they are all very very very time consuming...and mentally draining....
cant blame me for being forgetful and all this period i feel...i am cramping so many things into my brain man...u know how difficult it is to read all those science journals and have to understand what the f**k they're talking about...then have to spend days and nights on the powerpoint and word and excel and adobe only for comp to hang...
hungry nights and no one pities u...lucky i can relax and let go a couple of hrs a day relaxing with the guys with ps2..credit to my honey for getting mi the tv..hhaha..up laH~
tough and still not over yet..not even soon....sucks...
but its ok..i will survive..i'm the man..the bull!!

Finally Champs again..

well done TH..glad i'm leaving hall on a winning note...

came in winning and went off winning...no regrets...

certainly a good experience for the younger ones who havent tasted victory prior to this..but i guess things aren't the same as it was in the past but guess thats the way life is..old things go..new things come...maybe they'll replace the link bridge celebration with something else...

pretty sad the the link bridge thingy is so sloppy..no communications watsoever to ask everyone to come..pple simply went back to their rooms and went for their dance or prod rehearsals..c'mon! i'm sure the victory celebration takes priority over everyother activity!! but thats the older generation's thinking..guess the younger ones have other ideas..well..so be it then..but i really like the feeling at src during the prizing giving..its as close as it gets to the feelin i felt during yr1 and 2...

hope the name and spirit of TH is upheld in years to come..

TH won back 2 titles after a barren year last season...Great feeling to be cheering and happy for one another..glad to have this missing feeling back again after so long...guess only the yr 3s and 4s understand...the yr1s and 2s don't even know about the link bridge celebration where we sing We are the Champions....sad to know that man....

but anyway i'm really proud to have gotten this!

Still waiting for someone to initiate the link bridge celebration but i guess its not happening...no one except the old birds know how to co ordinate it...but well..its ok lah..main thing is we won something back..at least left the hall knowing its not on the decline~!

Last Year Last Chance

Feel like playing soccer with the guys..

after watching the guys play the ihg matches...but i know better...

dunno how long more before i can sprint and kick...prob 4 mths..prob 6 mths or maybe even a year more...

a little more on my thoughts..

i took up the job of girl's soccer coach originally because i torn my knee ligament and meniscus and i knew i wouldnt be able to play in any sports this year but yet i felt like doing something worthwhile and fulfilling.

taking up this job wasn't really that hard a decision to come to because it was something i always wanted to do and try out.

i was a little uncertain at first but it got better as i started to know all of you better and somehow i was able to know what to do with you all during trainings..haha.

winning it as a coach is different from winning it as a player. the sense of fulfilment is different but i really dunno how to describe it. its like as a coach, you'll get heart attacks when watching from outside but i didn't get this feeling when i was playing in last yr's finals against RH. and as a coach, you're always constantly thinking and trying to come up with solutions when things doesn't go right..and it is different from being a player where the solution u try to come up with is how to get past the opponent or how to score the goal. and it gets better when the things you come up with and the decisions u make works!

in the end you all gave me an unforgettable experience..thanks to all of you.

ok..now for my personal favourite moments..

1. huihui's equaliser against KR...we would not have won the tournament without that goal. it would end up having 4 wins and 1 loss and KR with 4 wins and 1 draw. well done lah HH!

2. the way we played against EH..its was purely a treat for the eyes.

3. Kim perpetually keeps getting injured. first the muscle pull..then the knee into the thigh..ouches! hope you're getting better miss crowd favourite. (ok..to clarify..its not my favourite moment that u get injured k..it just means the events i remember more clearly..haha)

4. all the cheers those at the side keep making..it was great.

5. the mud party at the end for me. thanks A4 for helping me with the laundry..hehz

anyway..other than my players..i would like to thank welfare comm, convening comm, some JCRC pple(like PJ and kwan aik) and those who helped out in one way or another.

is leading the girl's soccer team to the title...

i've neva blogged about coaching the girl's team till now cause i didnt wanna hype things up or comment on anything or sometimes just being superstitious that if i talk about it before the tournament we won;t win..etc etc etc.

now that everything's over and we've brought back the gold..its time to let my thoughts out..

Congratulations to you all..you all have won it for the team for the hall and for yourselves..i'm sure its always a memorable experience to win something..esp something that you worked hard for. and also congrats for being the clear cut soccer champs for the 1st time(no penalties or whatsoever to decide the champ)..and the 1st time for beating EH.

On sunday, what i saw wasn't simply soccer players in all of you..i saw warriors..fighting every moment you are on the battlefield. Words cannot describe how proud I am of all of you. Its an honours to be able to have all of you as my players and to be your coach. Its true when I keep saying that having you all make my job easier. Its every coaches' dream to be able to have players always willing to listen and improve and willing to go the extra mile.

I can safely say safe all of you deserve the medal that you all have won. Not just those who played a big part..everyone of you! My only regret was that I am unable to play everyone of you and not give everyone as much playing time as I would have liked to. And also not being able to have everyone who joined to be in the first 18. Hope you all will forgive me for this, i did everything i could and what i thought and felt was for the best for the team. But i must say that no one should belittle their own contributions. Each one of you was chosen by me specially because i saw something in you and that you are able to contribute to the team. By turning up for trainings and doing what i've instructed..you have already made the difference.

I know many people joined soccer originally for many different reasons. for some,its ur passion, for some its because tts what you're good at, for some its to learn something new, for some its to accompany your friends or make new friends, for some its simply to get some CCA points...but whatever the reason is..i'm sure you all went away learning something and became a richer person.

I'm very glad to see how our team have evolved since last year till now. How strangers became teammates and friends..how a group of diferrent people are able to get organised and work together to achieve a common goal..and how you all improved over this period of time to be worthy of being the IHG champions.

once again..congratulations to all of you and wish you all the very best next yr.

Still have to settle module stuffs...have to decide to drop one of my electives..my frens are trying psycho me to take an evening module...thurs 6-9..say easier to score etc..apparently they were scared out of their wits when they found out the original one we were suppsoe to take together was taught by a asshole poking lecturer..meaning secretly kill u when u least know it one...they heard frm a fren's fren(etc) that he got all As for his modules and this module got D+ for that sem...wtf!!

i also scared man..maybe i really drop it and take the thurs evening one..how? how? how?

waiting for the toshiba results for 2nd interview next week...

still lotsa girls soccer stuffs to settle though..the tournaments on next sunday!

MANCHESTER United boss Sir Alex Ferguson left St. James' Park with nothing but praise for Newcastle United after the New Year's Day encounter between the sides finished 2-2.

Leading through a James Milner rocket, the Magpies had to come from behind with a goal on his home debut by teenage defender David Edgar to ensure Paul Scholes' brace wasn't the matchwinning contribution.

Glenn Roeder was again without a dozen senior players for such a tough match, but his opposite number Fergie complimented the injury-hit Toon squad after a result many were not forecasting before the game.

The Red Devils missed a chance to open up a nine-point lead over Chelsea at the top of the Premiership table, and Sir Alex said: "I don't think we played as well as we have done in recent weeks simply because Newcastle didn't allow us to play," he added.

"They wanted to be first to every ball, showed determination and character. I've got nothing but praise for them.

"We missed a stack of chances but I have got to admire the spirit and determination of the Newcastle team.

"They deserved their point without question. When they put in that kind of effort they prove that it's not an easy place to come to now."

because sometimes when i do..i regret the consequences..so i guess i better keep my mouth shut..but sometimes i just do it anyway hoping for the greater good...but then again i think i might be better off keeping my mouth shut....

probably doesn't make much sense english wise but i'm sure the way when we say it gives us the idea what it means...

what i make out of this (and what you make out of it) would probably sound like this...

"a friend who comes to ur aid when you are in need is thus a true friend"

and i think this is pretty much nothing new to pple but as i think about it..i realise that you can extend it abit...

think about those times ur fren helps u out when u are in need..and when times go sour because of whatever happened..these thoughts have a profound effect on healing those wounds in ur heart...cause pretending that nothing has happened only serves to hear the wounds further apart..

Thoughts

I'm really proud of Newcastle's spirit sometimes..

the recent match against man u reminded me of the times under bobby robson..especially the season we ended up 3rd...when we went down..we always fought back against the odds...

seeing newcastle bringing fight into their spirit lifts me too somehow..who says supporting soccer clubs are silly...its a passion on true fans in the heart understands...

sometimes pple ask me..why newcastle..they're not even good...i really do not know how to explain..how do u explain passion....

do u know how hard it is to not be able to do things that you are passionate about??? no matter how hard you try to minimise that lousy feeling..it won't eliminate it...

i really wanna play soccer again..

Anti Learning...

Having took HR2002 and learnt about anti-learning behaviour......

I tend to realise how prevalent this behaviour is in so many people...even myself even though i try to always conscious about it...

well..at least i know i'm trying to avoid this behaviour...

an advice...always hear it but no one uses it...when sth doesn't go your way and you don't get your intended results...and it doesn't happen just once..is it the luck of others or is it a personal lack of effort and techinique..i guess the answer u choose probably will show what kind of person you are...

i once chose the wrong answer..i'm not gonna make the same mistake twice...

A Bad Year for Doggies?

Read Lilian Too's (a supposedly damn good feng shui person) book for Dogs in 2007...

she tells of dogs, esp those born in 1982, having a rough year ahead. and it is pretty much caused by themselves..cause this yr we have a lot of chi bbuild up around us..or sth lidat we causes us to be riled easily and quick tempered. Tend to let emotions rule over us and over dramatize things.

looking at what happened so far in the new year..looks to be true..

i guess we better calm down find some inner peace and keep our cool...

A Peaceful New Year

Didn't go for any countdowns or parties or whatsoever...

spent the weekend at home and with my honey...the most relaxing and peaceful way to go into the new year..haha...

I liked it this way..been to all the happening things in the past..felt i had enough of those..they burn holes in your pockets as well..hah..so just as well...

once again we had a lovely dinner during new year's eve at my honey's place..bought plain cheese pizza at the newly opened Fairprice Xtra at Ang Mo Kio...pretty good hypermarket..and lotsa offers during the first wk of opening specially for this store only..anyway back to our dinner..den we bought picnic ham and pineapples and together with the leftover smoked salmon from xmas..we topped the pizzas to make salmon pizza and hawaiian..haha..taste really good..as good as those u buy outside..haha..

and so we counted down at home with a bottle of champange too..watching the live telecast of the countdown from vivocity..the performances were lousy!! jade seah and jaime teo looked pretty bad too..so didn't really like the show..

anyway newcastle's see saw performances is back again..looks like its gonna be 3 losses in a row..at bolton..at bolton and possibly to man u a few hours later...well..lets hope another bobby robson comes along soon enough..

Christmas

On the eve..we started the day by meeting up in Plaza Singapura. Before that I went to Bugis Junction to collect my xmas gift from my honey..haha..can you guess the gift from the pictures below?? ans at the end of the post..haha


Then we went to carrefour to shop for our feast we were gonna cook up for our xmas eve dinner..shop damn long man...went to the fresh food and meat sections...the choices were simple..no meat frm any 4 legged or 2 legged species..hahah

cause she finds cooking red meat disgusting and she hates birds..so well..that leaves us with fishes and seafood..bought smoked salmon and dory fish fillet...and tiger prawns!! hah..salad and baguette(is this how u spell the hard and long bread?) and some seasonings and sauses and drink..

think the food cost abt $50 in all..haha..power lah! and we carried everything or rather..i carried everything on a bus back home...and its time to work!



She did most of the cooking while i did some..haha..and here is our work of love..

and all the while shes just worried abt her face on whether she looks ugly or wat..rather then her life(allergies can be fatal i read)..hahahah...vainpot hor....

allswell in the end and we had a lovely evening...went vivocity to walk walk on xmas day itself..had lunch at banquet at the basement..the cockles kway teow stall is damn up! should try..abit ex though..$4 a plate..

My Honey's 24th Birthday

A slightly belated bday post for my honey..heh..

Last last fri (15-12-06), we went to IndoChine Waterfront near Asian Civilisation Musuem at Clarke Quay. Its a pretty classy place with nice atmosphere and feel. Cambodian Food.


Had soft shell crab, fried rice and black pepper beef..all cambodian style....the crab and fired rice was not bad but the beef didnt really lived up to expectations though..anyway too much fried stuffs and we ended up having a sore throat..hah..oh yah..by the request of my honey..we opened a bottle of french white wine too~



Here we are cam-whoring...i never thot i would use this word on myself..eeeeee........

Anyway we had a great time..laughing and all...my honey got a little high frm the wine..she drank most of it..hahah

Next Sem's supplies is settled..

Thanks to my honey I have settled my next sem's supplies for my entertainment and leisure..hahaha


The collection is still going on! Aim is to have a mini bar at my home in the future!

glad to have such a nice relaxing day with my honey..she has a lousy headache most of the day though..hope she's feeling better..

hopefully after i take it back on wed or thurs they solve the prob once and for all..haiz..poor pple no choice but to resort to gg to these shops to repair...$40 for the repair..the f**king nokia care centre quote me between $80-$150!!!! wat the f***?!? for a couple of buttons only! then if u want the exact price have to leave it there then they will call and tell mi how much is the exact cost..but if i choose not to repair it i still need to pay $26.25 for the consultation!!

Then he told me to bring me shoes next week and will start conditioning me to run on the threadmill...

lotsa readings left..at least half a sem's readings...but my paper is next thurs! earlier than everyone else..heard HR always first one...i should be able to finish my readings though...took leave from next monday to thursday...

but sianz man..after exam still have to go back to work til the 15th of Dec and i got 1 bloody assignment on hand given by my supervisor...y bloody? cause it needs programming knowledge..knn...how to do???

i think i just si sua lai...bo pian..better than nothing....

now hall very quiet already..all hiding somewhere to study...i should get started too...so i have time to go gym later..

..on last saturday night at the indoor stadium...

The glamourous couple..won alot of awards too..Sun Yanzi and Andy Lau

damn glam lah the event..Andy Lau is really charismatic in person...i got to catch the stars quite close up during the red carpet walk down by them....

Hebe is damn prettttttty...sun yanzi looked damn gd too....yang cheng ling was very cute!!

hahah...okok...i admit i mostly notice the girls only k..... but the real treat was the artistes performances lah...their voice damn power in real life...even the superstars(junjie, weilian, etc.) sounded really pro....but the most power performance i feel was from Cao Ge..his superwoman is world class...

List of Appreciation

wanted to do this cause i was really touched by u pple.....

1.1. humans likes to make list, it's the best way to make order out of chaos, but 1 thing is similar in every list, on every lists there's always a first...

and the 1st goes to....my honey! she accompanied me on a rainy monday morning to accompany me to the hospital and it was such a bad morning..no bus nothing cause my surgery was too early in the morning and we were struggling to find a way there..in the end after waiting past my appt time, an A2 just went past without stopping even though there were quite a few pple at the bus stop waiting for it..then only managed to get on a supplementary bus and then took a cab there from science.

and also she came when i was at my worst..the 1st night after my surgery. she came with chocs and green tea and a very cute winnie the pooh balloon which says "feeling wobbly?"..haha..and she's so proud she found such a cute balloon for me..and stayed with me till very late even though she has work the next morning and have to take cab back..
thanks honey!

1.2. my dad! he came to visit me just after my op..bought lunch and drink for me..damn nice lah..and my sis and mum who were unable to come but kept calling me to make sure i was ok..i love them..although i rarely show it...hahaah

2.1. Chip. Although he always say want o kick my leg, want to thrash me and all..but i know he loves me...hahahh. no one else on B4 for him to love already...thanks for coming for me to help mi get back hall from hospital..and takin care of me in hall..true brothers..haha..

2.2. swee yong. a word from mi and he left office in the middle of the day to help mi discharge..what more can i ask for man...but shhhhh..cannot say out this secret ah...and thanks for visiting me subsequently and LJ-ing with me...hah

3. Josephine and Weixiong. My queen and her king. thanks for popping by to chk on mi and thanks for the crystal jade char siew bao..in my midst of delight..i just gulped the baos down and forgot to take a pic of it..haha..really appreciate it..and it came when i was really hungry and too painful to move ard to find food..haha..

4. Meizheng and Zhiqin. Thanks for being so nice to me man..dunno what i did to deserve ur kindness..haha...was really surprised when u got the happy meal (and thesimba toy together with it) for me..really didnt expect it..and thanks mz for the "be strong like simba"..motivates mi to train back to wat i used to be..

5. Haur Bin. help me buy food and very helpful in many ways..esp for helping me get my passes to go work and made u miss ur shuttle bus in the end..paiseh man..hah..thanks man!

6. Keng Wai and Yi Keong. My 2 buddies at work..thanks for calling and asking and helping me ard at work.

7. Michelle Jianlin Thelma and Tommy. My HR project mates. Thanks for making things easy for me during all these time and thanks for doing such a great job with the presentation. Thanks mich for coming to fetch me and all to the meetings...haha..damn nice lah u...

8. Paul. Thanks for lending car to me on several occasions. cheers!

9. Caryn and Huihui. really glad to see you girls visiting me when i was still in a pretty bad shape. brightened up my day!
