Christmas

On the eve..we started the day by meeting up in Plaza Singapura. Before that I went to Bugis Junction to collect my xmas gift from my honey..haha..can you guess the gift from the pictures below?? ans at the end of the post..haha


Then we went to carrefour to shop for our feast we were gonna cook up for our xmas eve dinner..shop damn long man...went to the fresh food and meat sections...the choices were simple..no meat frm any 4 legged or 2 legged species..hahah

cause she finds cooking red meat disgusting and she hates birds..so well..that leaves us with fishes and seafood..bought smoked salmon and dory fish fillet...and tiger prawns!! hah..salad and baguette(is this how u spell the hard and long bread?) and some seasonings and sauses and drink..

think the food cost abt $50 in all..haha..power lah! and we carried everything or rather..i carried everything on a bus back home...and its time to work!



She did most of the cooking while i did some..haha..and here is our work of love..

and all the while shes just worried abt her face on whether she looks ugly or wat..rather then her life(allergies can be fatal i read)..hahahah...vainpot hor....

allswell in the end and we had a lovely evening...went vivocity to walk walk on xmas day itself..had lunch at banquet at the basement..the cockles kway teow stall is damn up! should try..abit ex though..$4 a plate..

My Honey's 24th Birthday

A slightly belated bday post for my honey..heh..

Last last fri (15-12-06), we went to IndoChine Waterfront near Asian Civilisation Musuem at Clarke Quay. Its a pretty classy place with nice atmosphere and feel. Cambodian Food.


Had soft shell crab, fried rice and black pepper beef..all cambodian style....the crab and fired rice was not bad but the beef didnt really lived up to expectations though..anyway too much fried stuffs and we ended up having a sore throat..hah..oh yah..by the request of my honey..we opened a bottle of french white wine too~



Here we are cam-whoring...i never thot i would use this word on myself..eeeeee........

Anyway we had a great time..laughing and all...my honey got a little high frm the wine..she drank most of it..hahah

Next Sem's supplies is settled..

Thanks to my honey I have settled my next sem's supplies for my entertainment and leisure..hahaha


The collection is still going on! Aim is to have a mini bar at my home in the future!

Hebe is damn prettttttty...sun yanzi looked damn gd too....yang cheng ling was very cute!!

hahah...okok...i admit i mostly notice the girls only k..... but the real treat was the artistes performances lah...their voice damn power in real life...even the superstars(junjie, weilian, etc.) sounded really pro....but the most power performance i feel was from Cao Ge..his superwoman is world class...

wanted to do this cause i was really touched by u pple.....

1.1. humans likes to make list, it's the best way to make order out of chaos, but 1 thing is similar in every list, on every lists there's always a first...

and the 1st goes to....my honey! she accompanied me on a rainy monday morning to accompany me to the hospital and it was such a bad morning..no bus nothing cause my surgery was too early in the morning and we were struggling to find a way there..in the end after waiting past my appt time, an A2 just went past without stopping even though there were quite a few pple at the bus stop waiting for it..then only managed to get on a supplementary bus and then took a cab there from science.

and also she came when i was at my worst..the 1st night after my surgery. she came with chocs and green tea and a very cute winnie the pooh balloon which says "feeling wobbly?"..haha..and she's so proud she found such a cute balloon for me..and stayed with me till very late even though she has work the next morning and have to take cab back..
thanks honey!

1.2. my dad! he came to visit me just after my op..bought lunch and drink for me..damn nice lah..and my sis and mum who were unable to come but kept calling me to make sure i was ok..i love them..although i rarely show it...hahaah

2.1. Chip. Although he always say want o kick my leg, want to thrash me and all..but i know he loves me...hahahh. no one else on B4 for him to love already...thanks for coming for me to help mi get back hall from hospital..and takin care of me in hall..true brothers..haha..

1 week confinement....

just like NS time....

Finally its done..

after all the hype, finally its done but not yet over...

on the stupid crutches now..$2/wk rental rate..a few thousand dollar bill oso cannot lend mi free crutches..lidat one meh...somemore make my hand and armpit damn painful lah..

came back home frm hall...$20 cab..nothing is going rite man..my trip frm hall to home neva passed $15..tt pu bor driver..say here crowded got a lot car so must take the faster alternative road..take here n there oso alot of cars..knn..lucky i leg pain den sianz..if not sure kaopei him one...think i dunno road one...

den felty damn cold in the cab..like going to fall sick lidat..den at home let fan blow oso felt cold..i kan cheong already man..cos the nurse and doc say cannot have fever etc. after op one..if not means something or wat lah..den i quickly piah lotsa water n barley drink man...go pee like 5, 6 times in an hr..den selpt early..luckily this morning woke up everything fine...

knee in one big bandage now and a giant knee brace..whole leg feels damn heavy and restricted..so cant really test if i can walk anot..well..i guess i better dun try anyway...but sianz.. have to wait til next monday to take off the bandages(hopefullly)..and cant really bathe oso..so i take chair go toilet sit down and take towel and sit beside the tap and wipe myself everywhere..sianz man..i managed to shampoo my hair too..haha..salon style..u know..ur head lie in the basin lidat...up laH~

12th week of IA

yup..12 weeks of IA ended..time to hand in IA report 2. luckily i've been writing consistently every week..so its almost done...

haven't really mentioned about my work in ExxonMobil..i'll take this opportunity to write some of my thoughts since i'm in the mood..

first few weeks was pretty messy and troublesome and lousy for me...

apparently my supervisor didn't really bother about the students attached to him..didn't even see his face for more than a few mins each day. den knnbccb....he posted me to jurong island!! fucking far lor..still have to go thru checkpt..like go msia custom lidat...go down bus..scan the pass(like u msian can use some kind of pass to go thru lida) den have to scan the bag using the machine..and randomly kena spot chk by the police(i neva tio..usually banglas tio only..i wonder why)..anyway my pt is..its damn fucking troublesome and y i so suay..kena posted there!!

luckily over there got yi keong..my classmate..my ktv kaki...haha...

but at first i wasnt with him..was in another building another department..
at first..looks gd feels ok...but kaoz..left alone again...neva rally bother abt mi..i'm like his PA lidat..make tea n coffee...help him do microsoft word and powerpoint and excel...wtf..somemore its simple things lor...to make myself feel better i drank the milo n ribena in the pantry like nobody's business...hahah..my milo powder put as much as the water..like dinosaur lidat..damn nice~

den i happen to find out that i can find a way to get a transfer to my fren's department..apparently pple do know tt my sup n the department usually dun care abt IA students one..just take them in for i oso dun fucking know wat....so i talk to this person tt person and this person and tt person..until i finally got my way and got transferred...

this department was where all the chem engineers were so things were abit more familiar...knew the EM engineers..pretty niec pple i must say..not the most happening kind though...and the fellow IA pple were quite fun oso except one lah..who pretty much an introvert and quiet i guess...loves the computer more than mi..alothough we in the same room but neva talk more than a few sentence each day...

it took a while before work started coming in..real work..where u solve some of the refinery's problem..u dun actually solve it..usually its just part of the problem which the engineers feel tt students can do and let them do so they can conc on the most impt stuffs...

work was ok till now..some took quite a bit of thinking..other were pretty straightforward...these large companies internal network is damn chim lah i tell u..they have their own programs and email programs and a lot of database..damn impressive..i read here and there until i blur man...so many data i dun even know wat is there man...took mi a few wks to know how to find info to do my work..but i can say i dun even know 50% of the available information.

hmm...everything seems going fine for now...i'm getting my pay and i'm doing some read work..fair enough..in an oil company..paying someone 1000+ is like the lowest end of the pay scale man...we're actually cheap labour..knn...sounds lousy

this IA actually make mi think whether i should go into refinery work next time..after 12 wks..i feeling is i dun mind going back to work there..but its definitely not very attractive work...the engineers are like damn busy and i MEAN DAMN BUSY always n no life..well..i shall look out for more career options meanwhile..i did submit my application to EM though...gg to attend mindef recruitment talk next fri too...see what they say..not bad man..its in marina mandarin ballroom.

well..just hope next week everything goes well for mi..if u know what i mean..

About Hall

Just came back from supper with Natalie and Hong Cheng and some other hall friends..

It was meant to be sort of a farewell for Natalie before she goes SEP.

Anyway ended up talking cock and all. Realised that I am pretty much lost in most of the conversation as they were talking about people I didn't know exist in hall. And supposedly "big happenings" which I knew nothing about.

Well, guess i'm pretty detached from hall stuffs already. Only keeping to at most already known friends.

Lost Rag yet again, guess it'll be quite a while before a great person makes us win again. Anyway we won the least cost float, better than nothing. wonder how ihg will fare this yr. Not looking good though.

Really glad chip louis colin aaron around hall. the good thing about being detached from hall now and no lessons is that i'm able to strengthen bonds between good friends which i always wanted to but never had the time. the b4 guys, the 3 M's (melannie n co), yifeng&alexis, linda wee, yongfeng, josh&jo, sweeyong, my classmates.

the long list shows how much time i've been spending on hall. not that i regret doing hall stuffs though. but i wonder why some people just cannot let go of hall stuffs.

hall is a nice place..but only as nice as the people....

My Poor Knee

Went to the physio..who recommended me to see the orthopaedic specialist..who advised me to go for an MRI scan.

The scan is scheduled for next friday and the follow up consultation the following thursday.

Please pray for me people. That everything will be fine and I won't need an operation or what. In any case, just let me be able to play soccer again asap!

Spent so much money on the treatment and the supplements already!

Disappointed, Envy

Just watched TH's rag video. Brings back a couple of memories. Remembered how much practise I put into the dance. Remembered that we lost everything. After watching the video, I just couldn't help it but walked to the comm hall to watch the current batch of dancers practise.

I really wanted to join Rag dance this year. I don't know why but the feeling is pretty strong. Looking at my buddies and good friends all fighting to win back the title makes me really disappointed and envious. How I wished I could be part of it.

Everyone sees me they will ask how's your leg? Is your leg better? Knowing that some are just hoping that I can reply a YES so I can join in the fight to win back the title, it really saddens me to say NO.

I know 1 person would echo my feelings and that is Ken. Right? Pretty sure if you're here with me watching them dance and watching the video, and yet unable to participate, you will feel the same way I do. Anyway do watch the video on TH's website k Ken..we're in it! haha..

And know the IVP team is playing games and training quite a bit lately. Really hope I can join in soon. Miss the guys and the fun times we always have when training and playing together. Will really be disappointed if I can't recover to train and play properly again.

Haiz..miss my honey really bad..3 more weeks!

Lazy to update blog

Work is tiring.
Weekend is for resting.
Any other free time is for personal leisure.
That leaves me no time for blogging.
Taking a short break from blogging.

Money

Money is really a headache..or rather the lack of it.

you have to resort to downloading stuffs and settling for lower quality n waste lotsa time trying to source for them instead of being able to buy the CDs or DVDs.

you have to resort to crossing the causeway(wasting lotsa time again) to gain access to cheaper n perhaps lousier goods.

you always have to rack your brains to find the cheapest way to get yourself from one place to another. like which bus change to which bus to get to where is the cheapest. if it requires u to walk more to get to that bus stop etc, so be it.

you have to choose your food carefully and i'm not talkin about being health conscience here. sometimes even food court looks expensive and in the end have to settle with a loaf of cheap bread n watever u can find to go along with it..if nothing..the bread alone will do.

you dunwant to go out even though u've spent the whole wk in the office. cos by just going out, u've already spent on transport minimum. u know n i know that the easilink card is a money sucker. i visit the easilink machines more than i visit my grandma.

you waste ur mind and concentration at home by always looking out for lights or fans or any electricity comsuming gadgets being left on..even for just a moment. all the time, and u get irritated when u spotted one cos u'll always feel that would have been a few cents saved.

you get angry when u cant do things u really want cause u just simply cant afford it.

you cant buy ur gf stuffs every now n den.
you cant get her flowers every now n den.
you cant do a lot of things for her without money u know..
u say money is not everything..i ask u to go and die...

wat a sad n down post..its just not me..sighz..

After another week of work

Its really not easy trying to blog during the weekdays now. Been spending the whole week at my honey's place because its near (but the real reason is so that i can see her everyday~).

Anyway, really nothing much things to do yet except some miscelleneous stuffs.

Gonna have a BIG BIG sleep tonight. Been waking up at 6.20am every morning...its tough!

Going to PS tml for some STOMP thingy, got this sms that I might have a chance to win some car, well..probably I won't win it but hell..its still a chance...haha
